Logistics Supervisor Warehouse

Headit is looking for a Logistics Supervisor, region of Brussels (Evere), with experience in warehouse people management.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including team leadership, stock management, transport coordination, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role is key to ensuring efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes in a fast-moving environment with both dry and frozen goods.

What are your Key Responsibilities?

General Operations

• Supervise warehouse and transportation teams (warehouse operators and drivers) with a focus on team flexibility and cost optimisation.
• Coach, train and evaluate operational staff.
• Prepare and manage work schedules and monitor daily time registrations.
• Oversee planning and ensure smooth team coverage.
• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse and vehicle fleet and compliance with hygiene, quality and safety regulations.
• Maintain and improve operational procedures and implement performance indicators.

Transport Management

• Plan and optimise delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Monitor and maintain the vehicle fleet, including maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs.
• Supervise loading and unloading activities, ensuring proper checks and documentation.
• Manage customer payments and cash reconciliation related to transport activities.
• Plan and follow up on incoming goods collections and inter-site transfers.
• Create and analyse transport KPIs (e.g. delivery times, driving behaviour, etc.).
• Provide daily support and supervision to drivers.

Warehouse Management

• Oversee order preparation and storage processes, including supervision of temperature controls.
• Track and optimize stock levels (monitor expiry dates, damaged goods, samples, and waste management).
• Manage supplier deliveries, including verification and stock entries.
• Follow up on customer backorders and ensure timely resolution.

Who are you?

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role (2-3 years).
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiar with inventory systems, warehouse KPIs, and cold chain logistics.
• Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and quality standards in a logistics environment.
• Proficient in relevant IT tools and systems.
